About the blog

The Super User Blog is a blog by Super Users, for Super Users! SuperUser.com is this blog’s parent website, check it out as well if you haven’t already! We’re currently hard at work to to write awesome and interesting posts about things that should interest you all! And if it doesn’t? Not a problem! Pick up your pen and write your own post OR tell US what to write about! Everyone is free to contribute to the blog as they see fit, everyone can be an author! Information can be found at this meta post. Contact Ivo Flipse (known as IvoFlipse @ Super User) for more information or if you would like to submit a (draft) post!

The Super User Blog is edited by a few people that are responsible for the different sections of the Super User Blog. Each editor strives to uphold the quality necessary to call the stuff we post “awesome”! The current editors in chief are the following:

  1. General editor in chief: KronoS
  2. Interviews: IvoFlipse
  3. Productive Thursday: Tom Wijsman
  4. WTFriday: BloodPhilia
  5. Ask Different Podcast: Kyle Cronin
  6. QotW:nhinkle

When a new post is submitted by you (or any other of our writers), it’s reviewed and edited to its respective editor. The Editor will schedule your post for a certain date and as soon as dawn breaks (metaphorically speaking of course), your post is automatically published to the front page!

As the Editor of Interview I find it appropriate to introduce myself with… an interview!

Tom Wijsman

I like to write about sys internals, troubleshooting and productivity; if there were no limits you would even see posts about GTD, the Pomodoro technique and Inbox Zero appear. I’ll limit myself to the Sysinternals Suite and other performance and troubleshooting tools, amongst those that help me to be more productive. Occasionally I write about something serious that I find interesting, feel free to suggest me posts or send me something cool to troubleshoot.

Sometimes it looks like I’m procrastinating, but that’s because I’m trying to do too much at the same time. Stack Exchanging, Programming, Gaming, Blogging, Music, University, …

But that’s not a reason for you to not e-mail me at TomWij at live dot com… :)

BloodPhilia

I like writing about lightweight, slightly off-topic matter, so you might encounter such posts bearing my signature! For that same reason I took on the position of Editor in Chief responsible for WTFriday! Let me know if you’ve got an idea for a post (series)! Oh, and just for the sake of continuity I’d like to point out my favorite word is “Humdrum” :D You can contact me at “Bloodphilia at gmail dot com“.

Kyle Cronin

I’m the creator and co-host of the Ask Different Podcast, an unofficial podcast created by members of the Ask Different community about Apple and related technologies. I like Apple products and talking, so a podcast seemed like a good way to combine them. I’m also a moderator on Ask Different and Meta Stack Overflow, and one of the first Super Users.

If you want to send feedback about the podcast, email us at [email protected]. If you’d like to get in touch with me personally, you can email me at [email protected]
